Chelli + Kurt > Wisconsin Winter Wedding

This wedding blog post is going to be a long one, so sit back, relax, grab some tissues, and wait for all of these photos to load!

Chelli and Kurt were high school sweethearts from my hometown in Wisconsin.  I was so happy when they asked me to photograph their Winter wedding!  I've known most of Chelli's family for years and I have to say, this is the type of family that anyone would be lucky to be a part of and marry into.  I just knew that this event was going to be one for the history books, and I was right!

The couple married in Oshkosh at the historic Grand Opera house.  The venue was equal parts unique and gorgeous and the perfect setting for a Country singer and her groom.  Chelli's mother passed away a few years ago and to both honor her and represent her presence, you will see an angel atop a tree on the stage where they were married. A heart made out of her favorite shirt was also sewn into the layers of Chelli's dress.  I believe that her mother made her presence known in more ways that day when we sent down some miracle snow just in time for photos outside.  There was no snow on the ground, and no snow in the forecast, but somehow, as if it were magic, the most beautiful flurries showed up out of nowhere!  There was no snow even a town over, from what I hear.  Chelli said she had been praying for snow on that day for an entire year and she knew she had her mom to thank for their wedding day miracle.

The character and charm of Oshkosh seemed to be never ending.  Every corner we turned, there was another completely unique location for group photos (the odd staircase attached to a brick wall was my favorite).

The party really began at the convention center where the venue was decorated like a winter wonderland with trees and white lights at every turn.

A huge thank you goes out to Sheri from Citybee Studio for 2nd shooting with me on this wedding! I couldn't have done it without her.  Here are some of my favorites from Chelli + Kurt's Wisconsin Winter Wedding!

Brooke > Las Vegas Maternity Photography

Brooke and Chris are my friends and neighbors in Henderson.  I've had the pleasure of getting to know Brooke in the past year or two and she has one of the biggest, most loving and generous hearts that I know.  She's going to make such a great mother soon!

This session was supposed to happen almost 2 months before we actually got together.  Right before the originally scheduled a date, Brooke broke her foot while 5 and a half months pregnant!  She fell down a few stairs and while trying to protect her belly, she hurt her foot and was in a cast for 6 weeks.  Thankfully, she was ok, baby was ok, and we were easily able to reschedule for later, after the cast was off for good.

Brooke discovered this gorgeous location which is close to the dog park she takes her pups to in our neighborhood!  This wash was so green and lush this time of year, it was the perfect spot for some photos of a gorgeous girl, with her handsome husband, and their soon-to-be-here baby!  Here are a few of my favorites from their session with me.

Thanks for reading!

xoxo, Mary

Britta + Tony > Spring Mountain Ranch Wedding

Britta and Tony are Nevada State Troopers who are into comics, lizards, being complete badasses, and of course, each other :) This superhero/cop themed wedding fit their personalities perfectly. From the comic book invites, to the superhero lego men boutonnieres, to the (super cool) cop & superhero cake, this day screamed Britta and Tony and they would't have had it any other way.

I met Britta and her bridesmaids at the Red Rock Resort & Casino where she was getting ready.  With a Pabst Blue Ribbon in hand, this bride was ready to take on the day.  After a short limo ride to Spring Mountain Ranch, this laid back wedding was about to begin.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.
