This is my 3rd year photographing 4 and a half year old Mackenzie!  She's the daughter of one of my good friend, Megan, from High School and we always get together for some photos when I'm back home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.  Megan and Mackenzie live outside Chicago, so they can easily zip up to our hometown to meet me. Mackenzie is really turning into Megan's "mini-me" and it's making me want a mini-me of my own!  I love chasing her around and photographing her just being herself; swinging from willow trees, throwing rocks into the lake to watch it make a splash, and dancing across a bridge like no one is watching.  We also gave her some glitter to throw around and she had so much fun with it.

The location for this session is near to my heart because it's where my wedding reception was last year!  The weather was just on the verge of Fall and some of the leaves were just starting to change.  There's nothing like that feeling in the air in the beginning of Fall in Wisconsin...  We stayed at the park until sunset and watched the sun fall below the horizon from a fishing pier on the lake.  Here are some of my favorites from our session.

Megan is one of my best friends from High School in Wisconsin.  She now lives just outside of Chicago with her beautiful little 3 and 1/2 year old daughter Mackenzie. I photographed Mackenzie last year when I was home for Thanksgiving and it's amazing what a difference less than a year can make!  Last year Mackenzie was a little shy and this year she came running up to me to say hi and was posing like crazy for me:)

I was just in Wisconsin to be in a friends wedding and while I was there, we decided to take some more photos of Mackenzie.  This year we went to Waldvogel's Pumpkin Farm.  It's a local farm that has a lot of attractions for kids in the Fall like a corn maze, mini petting zoo, a haunted grainery,  a pumpkin patch, hay rides, train rides, and much much more!  It's really a fun place to go, even for adults in my opinion.  Especially because of the delicious caramel apples!  Megan used to work there when we were in High School so it really was a perfect spot for our photos.  Mackenzie's grandparents joined us too for the afternoon.  Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon at Waldvogel's Farm!  Thanks for reading!

> Calgary, Alberta Wedding Photography - Part 1

Hey Everyone! I'm really excited about this wedding blog post because I've known the bride for over 12 years!  Victoria and I went to Middle School and High School together in Wisconsin.  After college, she moved to Canada with her dual citizenship.

Victoria, or as I've always known her, "Vikky", met Kelly at church camp years ago.  They've had an on-again, off-again relationship and eventually realized they just couldn't live without each other!  Vikky is one of the most genuine, caring, and fun-loving people I've ever met.  I can't remember a day where she didn't have a smile on her face:)  I only just met Kelly on their wedding day, but from what I've seen, I can tell that he is very much the same as Vikky.  They seem to compliment each other well and are definitely head over heels for each other!

Not only was this my first Canadian wedding, but it was also my first time in Canada ever.  Even though it snowed half the time... in the middle of April... I really liked Calgary!  Ha.

Here are some of my favorite shots of details, the girls getting ready, and from the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we headed to an amazing park on the edge of downtown Calgary for some more photos.  I'll be blogging about them soon so stay tuned!
