> Las Vegas Destination Wedding Photography

Helena and Hondo came to Las Vegas from New Jersey to get married last weekend. Helena is a shoe buyer and Hondo is a shoe designer so they met through work. And let me tell you... people in the shoe industry sure know how to party!  I had no idea!  I haven't been to such a lively and fun reception in a long time.  I have to give a shout out to Helena's grandfather who had just celebrated his 90th birthday for busting out some serious dance moves on the dance floor!  You will see below.  And I also can't forget their shoe designer friend Dennis who actually IS Elvis.  It's not a Vegas wedding without Elvis... or at least someone who looks like him! Helena and Hondo were married in the beautiful Juno Gardens at Caesar's Palace.  We then headed to the Neon Museum for some photos of the couple and finally, had their super fun reception at Maggiano's.

This is the type of wedding that I love to photograph.  By that, I mean a couple that is so obviously a perfect fit for each other that I am able to get photos of real happiness, love, and admiration for each other.  You'll see... Here are some of my favorites from their Las Vegas destination wedding.

A HUGE congrats to this amazing couple!

Kenny and Josh Cohen are also photographers in town.  I've been photographing so many photographers lately!  And, no, it is not a prerequisite for me to photograph your family. Haha! I met them at their home in Las Vegas for a Day-in-the-Life session.  I arrived at about 3pm to meet Josh, Kenny, and their three month old daughter, Mila.  These new parents wanted to document this precious time with Mila, and I was happy to be there to help them do it!  I photographed some of their daily routines around the house and we ended up in their backyard garden where Josh grows chili's, a variety of tomatoes, and herbs.  Oh, and a peach tree for good measure!  They sent me home with a bag full of deliciousness that has officially convinced me to find some room in my backyard for a small garden of my own.  I may be calling Josh for some tips because I can't imagine that a garden in the desert is an easy thing!

Here are some of my favorites from my session at the Cohen family home.

Thanks for reading!

Chelsea Robbins is a photographer in Las Vegas, just like me.  She's passionate about love, life, family, and photography... just like me.  So it's not a surprise that her and I hit it off immediately while meeting for a drink on a hot Las Vegas summer day a while ago.  We have similar attitudes about all of the above mentioned things and I can't even tell you how fortunate I feel to have met her before she makes the move with her husband and two (adorable) kids from Vegas to Denver in the very very near future.  As much as I'm personally going to miss this incredible, insightful, and beautiful (inside & out) woman, I'm really excited for her and her family to start out on a new adventure in Denver! Chelsea, her husband Dustin, and their children, Conrad & Elliotte, are in the middle of packing up their lives for the move but found a little time yesterday to take some family photos with me.  They wanted a photo session in their favorite locations of their every-day-Vegas-lives.  We started out in their house where they filled their now-empty living room with colorful balloons and a vintage couch (found on Craigslist, of course) for some final photos in the house they're leaving behind so many beautiful memories in.  Then we headed to their favorite local coffee shop, Grouchy John's.  This delicious and really cute coffee shop started out in a truck!  (yeah, like a food-truck, but for coffee) All of the workers knew the family by name and some even came out to where we were sitting to wish them safe travels on their move.  Local businesses are the greatest!

This is where I normally say, "here are a few of my favorites from their session"... Well, let me just tell you, I had A LOT of favorites from their session.  So I'm including almost 50 of their photos on this blog.  Is that too many photos to blog??? Probably, but I don't care.  These photos NEED to be seen!  And trust me, you're going to want to look at them all.  So... here are a lot of photos from their "A-Day-In-The-Life" session yesterday:
