Brent and Liz are great friends of mine and Eric's.  Brent and Eric know each other through poker and became fast friends.  I'd say that Liz and I hit it off right away as well.  It might be the midwesterners in us! Liz first met Brent's sister, Ashley, though work and they became good friends. Such good friends actually, that Ashley invited Liz to the annual Hanksfest in her hometown in upstate New York.  Hanksfest has become a notorious party where the Hanks family and their friends get together for a weekend of camping, drinking, socializing, listening to Leroy Townes live, and just an all around good time.  This is where Brent and Liz met and from what I understand, the rest is history.  These two are such a good match for each other.  Anybody can tell when you meet them and I can't even count the times I heard people saying it over the weekend!

Brent and Liz decided to get married in Las Vegas where they both live now.  The ceremony was at the beautiful Red Rock Country Club and the reception was in the backyard of a house some of their friends rent out, most commonly known as "The Vine".  The backyard was perfect for their laid back reception with a pig roast, open bar, and full stage for Leroy Townes to play all night long (or until there were enough neighbor complaints!)  It was only fitting for Leroy Townes to play at their wedding since they had played live the weekend they met!  (This band is so good people!  If you haven't heard of them, head over to iTunes immediately to check them out.)  Guests were told to feel free to dress down for the backyard reception and flannels were abundant and I may have even seen some onesie pajamas!  The whole day was very much "Brent and Liz"; a laid-back, good time, with a lot of great people and amazing music.

I could go on and on about this seriously amazing couple, but I'll stop so you can see some photos from their wedding!  Here are some of my favorites from the day.

The Wynia Family has become so near and dear to my heart.  I've photographed Jenny & Nick's wedding, their son Parker throughout his first year, and now their beautiful daughter Riley throughout her first 6 months.  I think this was my 7th or 8th session with them!  It's been so fun to get to know them and watch their family grow throughout the last 2 and a half years.  I honestly can't say enough about this family.  They are just so loving, respectful, and genuine good people.

When I started my business almost 4 years ago, I did it because I love love love photography, I love creating art, I wanted to work for my self, I wanted to make my own schedule, etc... all pretty selfish reasons!  I had no idea that it would turn into such a rewarding job making my clients happy and taking joy in doing whatever I can to give them memories that they'll never forget.  I also had no idea that I would create relationships with my clients, and the Wynia family is no exception.  I love the fact that when Jenny was having a bad day, she was able to text me for a sneak peek of this session because she remembered how fun it was and she wanted to be brought back to that day with her family!  Nothing makes me more happy than to make my clients happy.

Ok ok, enough with the sappy stuff!  This session was at Discovery Park in Henderson, NV.  I made the little teepee out of a vintage sheet and blanket.  Here are some of my favorites from our family session!

> Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Family Photography

Bridget and Eric Spielman are my sisters two best friends from High School and they just so happen to have married each other.  They are both teachers in Sheboygan, WI, just a hop, skip, and a jump away from our hometown of Beaver Dam.  My sister was being inducted into our High School Sports Hall of Fame and Bridget and Eric brought their family to town to visit with Marie and to help celebrate at a cookout at my Mom's house.  We decided to take some family photos during the cookout and my Mom's backyard was the perfect place to capture Ella and Cole running around the massive and impeccably landscaped area. Ella and Cole are the cutest, blondest, most well mannered children!  They are so cute together and Ella is always there to help Cole with something and to give him kisses.  Ella loves to dance, do cartwheels, run around, and was always ready to smile for my camera.  I think I had at least 300 photos alone of her dancing!  Here are some of my favorites from the Spielman's laid back backyard session!
