> Southeastern Wisconsin Family Photography

This is my 3rd year photographing 4 and a half year old Mackenzie!  She's the daughter of one of my good friend, Megan, from High School and we always get together for some photos when I'm back home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.  Megan and Mackenzie live outside Chicago, so they can easily zip up to our hometown to meet me. Mackenzie is really turning into Megan's "mini-me" and it's making me want a mini-me of my own!  I love chasing her around and photographing her just being herself; swinging from willow trees, throwing rocks into the lake to watch it make a splash, and dancing across a bridge like no one is watching.  We also gave her some glitter to throw around and she had so much fun with it.

The location for this session is near to my heart because it's where my wedding reception was last year!  The weather was just on the verge of Fall and some of the leaves were just starting to change.  There's nothing like that feeling in the air in the beginning of Fall in Wisconsin...  We stayed at the park until sunset and watched the sun fall below the horizon from a fishing pier on the lake.  Here are some of my favorites from our session.

Thanks for reading!

> Wisconsin Engagement Photography

Martha and Casey are engaged and getting married in Door County, Wisconsin next year! I'm super excited for Martha because I've known her for years.  We've come a long way from driving around, family-style, in our Buick's through our hometown.  Martha is just as adorable and exuberant as she was back then.  She's got a personality that can put a smile on literally anyones face, no matter what their mood.  I know why Casey fell so hard for my friend!

When they first met, Martha lived in Madison and Casey lived in Chicago.  They did the long distance thing for a while but couldn't stand living apart so they moved in with each other somewhere in between earlier this year and were engaged soon after.

I met them at their apartment in Delafield, WI (the cutest little town I've ever seen) and we headed out for some photos at the Military Academy nearby.  There was an amazing stone church there with the most beautiful light, the kind I NEVER get in the desert! Then we went to a park around Lake Nagawicka right around sunset.  Martha brought along this beautiful quilt made by her Aunt Janette out of her Grandmother's dresses.  It is such a beautiful token of her family history.  Here are some of my favorites from my session with them!

Congratulations you two!  It was so great to catch up!  Your Door County wedding is going to be beautiful.

> Las Vegas Bachelorette Party Photography

Last weekend I headed out to the strip to photograph a Bachelorette Party to celebrate bride-to-be Ashley!  Not just any bachelorette party, an Aussie style "Hen Party", or so these Australian girls call it! Complete with a custom Vegas themed cake, personalized tumblers for drinking the night away, a "Cheers Bitches" banner, and mugshots! I met them at their suite at the Hard Rock Hotel where we were just planning on taking the mug shots... but one thing lead to another and we ended up taking some boudoir style photos as well as an impromptu Bride-to-be-hanging-out-in-the-closet-with-some-tinsel photo shoot.  To say that these girls were a crazy amount of fun is an understatement.  And so sweet too!  They had a matching personalized tumbler made for me using the colors from my website!  How thoughtful is that??

Ashley was just Married at the Wynn on Monday.  Congrats you adorable Aussie!  I loved being a part of your Hen celebration.  Here are some of my favorites from her party!
